Lakeside Nursing Home
We had 27 members of the Lakeside nursing home join us for lunch on Wednesday 9th September, they had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the meal, special thanks to Mark and his team for doing a sterling job catering for the additional numbers. We look forward to them visiting us again.

Sue Porter
Thanks to those who attended Sue Porter’s memorial service which was held on Friday 18th September. Gerald and Mark paid touching spoken tributes to Sue, and Mark catered a fantastic feast for all who attended. Sue was a valued member of UNACC, and her life was celebrated by her friends at the service on 18th September.

Donations for the UNACC Pop Up Shop
To help with fundraising efforts and inspired by Sophia’s generous donation of shoes and boots we’ve decided to launch a UNACC Pop Up Shop. We’re asking for donations of new and nearly new clothing, shoes and handbags, all will be gratefully received.

Charities helping charities
UNACC is currently supporting Save the Dogs, a charity helping dogs (and cats) in the UK and in Europe to escape the streets and public shelters and find foster homes with a view to being adopted by loving owners. The conditions in public shelters can be appalling so we are helping them to fundraise by buying spaces on raffle cards. £2 buys you a space on the raffle card and when it is full the silver bar is scratched off, the matching dog breed wins £10! All proceeds go directly to helping animals in need, and you could win £10 for yourself.

Donations of wool
We are in need of double knit wool. Our members are making wool bags which they are selling donating proceeds to UNACC so all donations gratefully received!

Wednesday Baps are back!
Mark’s bacon baps are back with the return of exercise classes. They cost £2 each and you need to order either the day before or by 10am on Wednesday morning.

Membership renewal
Our membership fees will continue to be £20 for a year. We have some members that have not paid yet. Please come into the office as soon as possible to renew your membership or Sheila will come and chase you!
