Christmas at UNACC
We’re very excited to announce the UNACC Christmas Party will be on Friday 15 December 2017. There will be a wonderful homemade Christmas dinner (menu below), wine and entertainment for only £20. Your ticket will be entered into a raffle to win a prize too! Please let us know in advance whether you want to be added to our dial-a-ride list.

Old £1 coins
We will no longer take the old £1 coins from Friday 6^th October 2017

Action on Elder Abuse
On Friday 13^th October at 11am, Lucia from Action on Elder Abuse will be here to talk about their new project EARS, which helps victim of abuse and matches them with volunteers.

Shared Reading Group
The shared reading group will return on Friday 20^th October.

UNACC International Day
On Tuesday 24^th October we will be celebrating with Britain’s favourite foods from around the world in our International event. There will be music and as usual a great buffet from Mark – tickets will be £10 and this event will replace the usual lunch on this day.

Film Club
Our annual film license is up for renewal in November it costs UNACC £190.97, we ask that you continue to support the film each month to help pay for the license.

Brighton
We had a lovely trip to Brighton on Monday 31 July, the sun shone all day and we all had a great time. Thanks to all who helped organise and sell tickets. We are looking for ideas for our 2018 trip, so if you have any suggestions please let us know in the office.

Our Vegetable Garden
We would like to say a special thanks to Philomena & Tony Southern for donating the plants in our beautiful vegetable garden and for all their hard work maintaining it, we have tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes and green beans. Thank you.

We’re in the process of planning our annual trip to Brighton which will be Monday 31^st July leaving the centre at 8.30am so we can enjoy a sea front breakfast. Spaces are limited so please be sure to reserve your place, the price is £20pp payable at the office. PLEASE NOTE: The centre will be closed that day.

Waterside Open Day
The Waterside Centre is celebrating 20 years of hosting healthy living and community groups on Monday 24 July 2017. 10am – 4pm. Come and enjoy a day of fun and explore the history of the centre and lakes since 1881. We need donations of bottles for our bottle tombola please! PLEASE NOTE: There will be no activities or sit down lunch that day, members are welcome to come and join the festivities, BBQ food available.

Meal Deal for April 2017 only

New Meal Deal for April 2017 only
As a little thank you for your continued support buying meals we will be offering a promotion of buy 5 meals in April get 6^th meal free. If you would like a meal please let us know by 11am so that the kitchen can prepare, we will accept bookings over the phone so please make sure you call us to order your meal if you can’t make it in before 11am.

Table Tennis

Katakouzini (Nitsa) Grocock
Sadly the lovely Nitsa passed away in her sleep on Saturday 18 February, there is an afternoon tea in her honor on Friday 7^th April 3-6pm at 190 Selhurst Road, SE25 6XX, please let the office know if you’d like to attend as we must inform Nitsa’s sister of numbers.

We have acquired a stall at the Crystal Palace Market, Haynes Lane on Saturday 18^th March to sell the remainder of the clothes we have in storage downstairs. If you are able to cover the stall for an hour please let the office know. We do not need any more stock.

Membership Charges 2017/2018
After much deliberation we have no choice but to increase our membership fee to £30 a year from April 2017, an extra 83p a month. We have checked other clubs in the area and their fees average £40 a year increasing further in April. We would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding. Bowls
As you may be aware the numbers attending bowls on a Friday have steadily declined and we are have not been covering the cost of hall hire for some time, it has been decided bowls will stop from April 2017, we would like to say a very special thanks to Ken French for all his hard work running the group and also thanks to those of you that attended over the years.

Christmas Raffle
We raised a fantastic £223 at the Christmas raffle, thank you so much for buying tickets and for all the wonderful donations.
